Newborn Family Photography - Cooper, Newborn Session

Getting to document families' lives as they grow is so incredibly special with Newborn Family Photography. When families return with their sweet new members of the family and precious siblings that I photographed when they were newborns it absolutely melts my heart. I love getting to see the joy each sibling has for their new baby brother or sister.

Newborn Family Photography means it's not just the newborns but the whole family who get a chance to come together and document these precious moments with your newest bundle of joy.

Documenting moments not just of your children but with them is so important. When you step out from behind the camera and snap some precious moments you get the chance to capture not only the sweet expressions from your newborn but of you both. Seeing the bond between a father and his child is one of the strongest bonds captured in a single moment. The love between a mother and her child as she sweetly gazes at her little bundle of joy is so special.

“The moment a child is born, the mother is born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is absolutely something new.”

2 years ago, I had the opportunity to photograph now big sister Amelia as a newborn. Mom said “She loves helping with Cooper like getting diapers and throwing them away. She also loves to rub his hair and says his hair is ‘so cute!’” This little guy will always be wrapped up in so much love. As these two grow they are sure to be a force to be reckoned with, their bond was already so present during their session. It is special to see siblings come back in and compare the personalities. Also, with how they interact with their new siblings now that they are older.

“We waited until birth to find out the gender and we were totally convinced we were having another girl. We were so shocked and excited to find out we had a boy!”

I love being able to have the whole family in the studio celebrating and documenting these moments. Even Grandma was able to come and be present for both reveal sessions for Amelia’s newborn session and now Cooper's newborn session.

Behind the newborn's name and cravings while pregnant.

“We liked the name Cooper, but Lane was a family name on Cooper’s dad’s side. He shares the same initials as Dad too.”

“Potatoes.”

Whether you are wanting to document your new little bundle of joy or wanting to document your families’ precious milestones with Newborn Family Photography each is so special and important. I want you to have everything documented to be able to look back on and remember.
